Engineering Impact Award 2023

We are delighted to share the news that the team at The University of Sheffield have won the ‘Engineering Impact Award’ at the Engineering & Manufacturing Awards 2023 for the hashtag#FluRefin carbon capture technology.

This year’s competition has shone a spotlight on the incredible contribution made by manufacturers large and small and showcased both the innovative measures that engineers across industry are taking to grow their businesses in challenging times as well as the role played by engineers in addressing some of society’s most pressing challenges.

Professor Peter Styring and Dr George Dowson who are the inventors of CCU International‘s next-generation carbon capture system, received the award in London this week.
